AARP - Mature Pet CareThe NEW AARP!![]() As in human medicine, Veterinary Medicine has in recent years recognized the special needs of young, mature and older patients. Aging is not a disease in itself. There are many factors which influence the rate of aging, the most common one being genetics. Nutrition, environment and the degree of preventive veterinary care given also influence the rate of aging. Our doctors and staff believe in taking a pro-active approach to wellness. In order to promote and maintain optimal health within our more “mature” patients, we at Pacific Petcare have developed our own “AARP” program -- the American Association of Retired Pets! Membership Has Its AdvantagesYour pet will become a proud card-carrying member of this group once he or she reaches eight years of age. If you have not received your pet’s AARP identification card, you may pick it up at your next visit to our office. BenefitsRemember, pets age much more quickly than their human family members do. Therefore, we will be conducting regular wellness exams and health-risk profiling for all of our AARP members. Semi-Annual AARP Examination

On occasion, some type of advanced diagnostics may be indicated if a problem is identified. The information gained from these visits will enable us to evaluate the internal organ function, immune system and nutritional status of you pet. No one can make health guarantees; however, by identifying the early stages of disease, we are best equipped to help our pets live longer, healthier lives. AARP wellness exams may be scheduled any day of the week, either as an office visit or drop-off appointment. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions or concerns you might have. We welcome your input and look forward to the next time we see you and your pet, here at Pacific Petcare. |
