The Pacific Petcare
Rehabilitation Center

Exciting news... our rehabilitation center is under construction in Sorrento Valley and will provide physical therapy, rehab, and pain relief services! We anticipate completion of the center in the spring of 2008!

Currently, there are very few veterinary physical rehabilitation opportunities available to pets, and 101 reasons why these treatments have been overlooked for years. We're changing all that by recognizing the importance and value of rehabilitating animals to a state of wellness, as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I just heard about the new Pacific Petcare Rehabilitation Center. What a great service this provides for pets in recuperation and their owners who want to do all they can for their pets. -- G.A.

Rehabilitation

Veterinary rehabilitation is the process of restoring good health and reestablishing normal function. Rehabilitation is not a gimmick. Effective rehabilitation requires the involvement of a trio of participants: the pet, the therapist, and family members. Our goal is to provide the tools and coaching necessary to help reduce pain, alleviate suffering, and rehabilitate our beloved patients.

Wow, I never thought of the possiblities of applying common human rehabilitation techniques to pets that have the same needs. This is a great service. -- W.W.

Treating Pain

Simply put, pain is not good. We do not use pain as a tool to restrict a pet's activity nor to protect him or her. At one time this was an acceptable approach, but no more! Pain can be difficult to treat and at times even more difficult to identify in our pets. Through diet, exercise, physical therapy, and multimodal therapeutics we can dramatically reduce, even eliminate pain in many cases.

Finally, a veterinary facility dedicated to pet rehabilitation and pain management. I think Pacific Petcare is on the leading edge with this concept. -- G.F.

Animals in Crisis/Need

The Pacific Petcare Foundation was established to create unique veterinary healthcare opportunities for pets and families in need. Currently, the foundation is raising money to purchase a new underwater treadmill. To learn more about The foundation and how you can help, go to PacificPetcareFoundation.org.

I was so impressed with the caring staff! I will definitely be back. -- K. G.
